World Expo 2010: Shanghai

From May 1st until October 31st, the World Expo will be making its mark in Shanghai, cementing China as a major economic power for the 21st century. For those who don’t know, the World Expo (or World Fair) is an annual event that displays the best in which the world has to offer. This World Expo will have more than 190 countries participating along with 50 international organizations. At least 70 million people are expected to attend, making this the largest gathering since its inception in 1851.

The event is expected to take place at the center of Shanghai along both sides of the Huangpu River. It’s motto for this year will be “Better City – Better Life”.
