Booth Babes Get the Boot in Korea

For those who haven’t heard of the upcoming game, Blade and Soul is another new MMO from the Korean company NCSoft (the same guys who brought you Aion). The game itself looks pretty sweet and fairly unique for an MMO since it relies more on Asian martial arts rather than medieval swords and sorcery.

But it seems that it’s already stirring up headlines, and not in a graceful way either. On November 26th, two models were kicked out of GStar 2009 (Korea’s big gaming con) for advertising Blade and Soul. It seems that their costumes were not up to convention regulations, which state that costumes must not resemble bikinis or underwear and should cover the pelvis. The costumes were provided by the modeling agency that hired the girls, so NCSoft is in the clear.

Darn shame too. That’s some mighty fine cosplay they’ve got there.
