Lost in Translation: Ponyo’s Theme

Hayao Miyazaki is such a legend amongst us anime fans. His most recent movie Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea has been released to the US public and has once again captured our imagination with his magic. The theme for the movie pretty much sums up the kind of magic to expect from it:

And Disney distributes it, which makes sense because Miyazaki and Disney have always had a partnership. However…something’s missing from this US theme. Sounds a bit…off…

The dub is just fine though, I swear!
