GI Joe Movie?
I saw a trailer for the new GI Joe live action movie but didn’t even realize it was for the GI Joe Movie until the words appeared on the screen. At first I thought it was just some sort of Iron Man ripoff given that they all have powersuits like Tony Starks. Either way, just judging by the trailer, it looks like a terrible, generic action flick that doesn’t even resemble the GI Joe cartoon. Watch it at your own risk.

To make up for it, here’s the opening to the GI Joe Animated Movie back from 1987, which I thought was a good animated movie. The cartoon was very quirky but it has a certain charm which doesn’t seem to have translated over into this bastardized live action movie that’s about to be released. I wish these film makers would think a little less about the green and more about the art.
